On the occasion of World Tiger Day, our students from AKJ School Primary Section came together to raise awareness about the importance of protecting Indiaβs national animal β the majestic tiger. π―π
We explored this powerful visual story by The Better India, which reminded us of the alarming drop in tiger population β from over 40,000 a century ago to just 1,411 in 2006.
Forests were cut. Poachers hunted. Tigers vanished, one after another.
But some hearts refused to give up. Scientists, rangers, villagers, and everyday heroes stepped forward β not just to save tigers, but to protect Indiaβs forests and all the life they hold. π³π¦
Because saving a tiger means saving rivers, trees, and entire ecosystems.
It means saving the very breath of the jungle. πβ¨
π₯ We shared the inspiring video link with our students: Watch here π https://www.instagram.com/p/DMreNwvIWTW/?img_index=1&igsh=MTRuNXMwenJuOTIzYw==
to learn about the wildlife heroes who brought back the roar.
π’ βWhen we save tigers, we save ourselves β for they guard the forests that guard us.β
