Dindi proceeding from different parts of the country towards
the holy place Pandharpur is said to be one of the world's largest
and oldest movement where people gather on one day each year
and walk a distance. The procession of Palkhi is a sign of social
respect and peace.
Like every year this year too students of Primary section
performed Dindi to honour Lord Vithoba. The Celebration started
during Paripat, few students spoke on importance of Ashadhi
Ekadashi, how is it celebrated, a beautiful abhanga was rendered by
few students. Story of Lord Vitthala was narrated.
Later, students of the Std IV performed Dindi procession in
school premises with message stating “the side effects of excessive
use of Mobile.” Students wore traditional costumes and it was a
pleasure to hear the gajar of "Vittucha Gajar Harinama Cha Jhenda
Rovila." All the students too enjoyed the procession coming to their
classrooms and the atmosphere was fully spiritual with overjoyed
blessings showered by Lord Vitthal. The Head Mistress of the Section
appreciated the efforts of students and encouraged them for their
participation.
